Toilet Rebate
Up To $75 Toilet Rebate
The City of Sioux Falls offers a rebate up to $75 for residential and $50 for non-residential replacements on the first toilet replaced. Residential replacements also qualify for $60 rebates for the second toilet, and $50 for each additional toilet thereafter.
How to Qualify:
- Must be a Sioux Falls Utilities water customer.
- Must be replacing an existing toilet with a date stamp prior to 1992. (Date stamps are located inside the tank. Carefully remove the tank lid and look at the walls inside the toilet tank. A date will be stamped into the china.)
- To receive a rebate, you will be required to complete an application and to provide proof of purchase with an original sales receipt. A home inspection to confirm purchase and installation of the new toilet may be required.

Residential Energy Star Rated Heat Pump
Heating and cooling use the largest chunk of your home energy dollars. When you choose electric, you know it’s clean, reliable and safe, but it can also be very efficient. It’s tough to beat the efficiency of an electric heat pump that not only cools your home in the summer, but also heats it in the winter.
HEAT PUMP REBATES
$200 – Air source heat pump with HSPF rating of 8.5 to 9.9 and $400 for HSPF rating of 10 and above with non-electric back-up heat
$600 – Air source heat pump with HSPF rating of 8.5 to 9.9 and $800 for HSPF rating of 10 and above with all electric back-up heat
$800 – Geothermal heat pump
ELECTRIC HEAT RATE: A sub-meter can be installed on electric heat equipment to receive a reduced rate for the billing cycles of October-April. The sub-meter is free for heat pumps two ton or larger and electric resistance heat over 5 kW, or a $200 installation fee is charged. Members who connect central air conditioners or heat pumps to load management qualify for a $6 credit per month for the billing cycles of May-September with a minimum total electric usage of 300 kWh. (*Former Alliant Energy customers are not eligible for the heat rate or AC credit.)
